Class Reps

Class reps are elected each year to represent your class and bring issues to the attention of lecturers. This year Class Reps and Ents Reps will be elected online through a Canvas module. If you have any queries please contact:

You can also run to be your class Ents Rep! You can take this opportunity to represent your classmates and bring them innovative, diverse, interesting and of course, fun events. Elections will be held in your classes in September

Equality Working Group

The UCC Students’ Union Equality Working Group have the responsibility to uphold and promote equality in the University.The group is chaired by the Equality Representative and consists of 6 other reps that stand up for minority rights and equality in our union.Equality Working Group Terms of Reference

Campaigns

UCCSU runs campaigns to raise awareness and fight for change on the issues that students care about and directly affect them. The nature of campaigns varies massively from tenants’ and workers’ rights campaigns to sexual/mental health campaigns and running campaigns to tackle the rising cost of living. The Communications and Engagement Officer is always open to new campaign ideas from the students of UCCSU. We want to hear from you, it is your voice, your union!

Clubs

Clubs are such a brilliant way to get involved with student life in UCC! There is a club for everyone with 45 different sports clubs ranging from soccer to canoe. Whether you have been playing a sport for years or want to try something out for the first time, clubs are an extremely welcoming environment that are always happy to have new members. If you are interested in joining; all the information is on the UCC Sport website. We hope to see you at a training session soon!

Societies

UCC Societies are a social hub for students across the university, ranging from academic societies such as Commerce and Engineering to creative and social societies like Music and Sci-Fi. We offer a place for students to expand their social circles, develop their hobbies in university, and gain insight into things they may have never considered. The University Express is the official campus newspaper of University College Cork, and keeps students up-to-date on news, features, sport & more across UCC's many campuses.

Motley Magazine is the official student magazine of University College Cork. Motley is vibrant, eclectic and diverse and covers anything and everything from the light hearted to the serious.

If you're interested in news & current affairs, sport, music or even just love to chat, we want to hear from you. You can join on your own or propose a show with a group of friends. No experience is needed, all you need to bring is yourself and your voice! Call into the station outside the Hub or send an email to radio@ucc.ie with your idea.
