Raise and Give Charities Announced for 2023!

University College Cork Students’ Union (UCCSU) are delighted to announce that the Raise and Give Charities for 2023 are:

✨Dogs for the disabled:
Dogs for the Disabled is a unique charity founded in 2007 to improve the lives of children and adults living with physical disabilities in Ireland. They deliver approximately 28 fully trained assistance / therapy-dogs each year to their partners. The dogs that do not progress/qualify (through our rigorous training programme) as fully-qualified Assistance Dogs, go on to careers as a therapy-dog.

✨Homeless Help and Support Cork:
Homeless Help & Support Cork (HHSC) is a non-profit voluntary organisation, formed in February 2018 in response to the growing homelessness crisis within the environs of Cork City. It was established to provide direct support to individuals in the situation of homelessness, as well as emotional and counselling support to those at risk of/or sleeping rough. Their aim is to offer hope, dignity, and respect to Cork’s homeless population and to raise public awareness of the matter.

✨Cork Mental Health Foundation and housing association:
Cork Mental Health Housing Association is a voluntary organisation, which actively supports and empowers persons with a mental health difficulty through the promotion and provision of high-quality housing services. Cork Mental Health Foundation is also a voluntary organisation whose aims are to promote positive mental health, to support people with mental health difficulties and to create awareness and understanding of mental health.
