Registration FAQ
There’s plenty of handholding when you arrive in UCC in 1st Year, but some things are a little different when you come back in 2nd year and after. We’ve answered a few of the questions we’ve been getting.
Q: When does college start?
A: Nearly everyone starts back on Monday September 7th. A few courses in Med & Health start earlier. Full details are here: https://goo.gl/GSyhgA
Q: Is there an orientation for 2nd year?
A: Nope. The first time you need to be in UCC in September is for your first class.
Q: Where can I find my timetable?
A: You can get your timetable here: http://timetable.ucc.ie/
Q: When do I pick my 2nd year modules?
A: You pick your modules when you register. You’ll get an email with details of how to register so keep an eye on your umail.
Q: I repeated some exams in August. Can I still go to my lectures before getting my results?
A: You won’t be able to officially register until you get your resit results but you should still try to go to your 2nd year lectures so you don’t fall behind.
Q: How long ’til Christmas holidays?
A: You have a study week starting November 30th, then just a couple of exams from December 7th – 18th then you’re off for Christmas! Full term dates are here: https://goo.gl/yuY8mM
