SU Election Results 2016
Here are a few facts & figures about the recent Students’ Union elections. From turnout to a breakdown of votes – here’s all you need to know.

Turnout
This year, the turnout in the Students’ Union elections was 4,278. This represents the highest turnout in the past 5 years of SU Elections.

Women for Election
This year of all women who ran for election, 75% were elected. This is the highest level in the past 5 years. The 2016 SU elections also saw the highest number of women running for election and the highest number of women elected to the SU in the past 5 years


The 2016 SU elections saw both an increase in the number of female candidates running for election and a significant increase in the percentage of female candidates who were elected.
