UCC Accommodation 2015

Search_AccomAs we’re getting ready for everyone coming back in September it is clear it’s going to be tough for students searching for accommodation this year.

Triggered by changes in the availability of student housing in Ireland generally – we’re working with the University to provide solutions to students.

You might not be able to get your first preference or might have to consider different living options to what you’re used to, it’s important to be flexible when you’re searching for accommodation and to keep in mind the following options.

Rent A Room
The ‘Rent a Room’ scheme invites householders to take in a student and rent them out a room in their house. Householders who are interested can sign up here. If you’re a student who wants to take a place in the ‘Rent A Room’ scheme, you can fill out the form below.

Search for a House
A new website, known as Studentpad, will allow you to search for accommodation near UCC and is to be launched on 12 August 2015. In the mean time, current vacancies can be found on http://www.uccaccommodation.ie/.

You might also be able to find accommodation on rental websites such as daft.ie, myhome.ie or others.

Incoming First Years
Having accepted a course in UCC via the CAO, incoming first year students should fill in the Accommodation Enquiry Form available below. You will be asked for your name, address, phone number and preferred accommodation type i.e. private house, digs, rent-a-room or student complex. We ask both students and parents to bear with us as it will be a very busy time. Staff will endeavour to assist as many students as possible to find appropriate housing.
