UCC Students’ Union Seeks Applications for R&G Charities

For the first time, UCC SU are taking online applications from charities who are interested in being part of UCC Raise & Give (R&G) this year. Any charity that wishes to be considered as a UCC R&G charity can apply on the following link before October 31st. www.bit.ly/uccRAG

Each year, UCC Students raise tens of thousands of euro for extremely worthy chosen charities. UCC SU organise R&G Events to use the significant amount of goodwill and enthusiasm among students to engage with the wider community and give something back to these charities.

While in previous years most of the fundraising was confined to ‘R&G Week’, UCC SU want to extend the real spirit of Raise & Give Week throughout the entire year. Fundraising and community engagement efforts will take place for the chosen charities, with the hope of making as much of a difference to peoples lives as possible.

All applications will be reviewed by the UCC SU Executive, an all student committee, with the chosen charities being notified as soon as possible.

Thanking UCC SU for their fundraising last year, Orla Dolan, Head of Fundraising for Breakthrough Cancer Research said “It was a fabulous way to use R&G Week to do some good, to have a great time while raising a fantastic amount for cancer research”.
